The aim of the TSASA
is to promote trailerable yachting through a program of cruising, racing
and social events.
The TSASA covers all classes of trailer sailors, almost any trailerable
yacht that has a cabin where members may sleep. Membership is open to
anyone interested in trailerable yachting.
The Trailer Sailer Association of South Australia began in 1967 when
most trailerables were of timber construction and home built. Membership
has grown from those early beginnings and is still growing.
The TSASA has an extensive calendar that covers the main interests of
the club, those being cruising, racing and social events.
Cruising allows the TSASA to travel to far-away places such as the
Whitsunday Islands and other places in Australia. Local waters such as
Coffin Bay, always prove popular. The Murray river is almost certain to
be visited during the year.
The flagship of the racing events has always been the Rosebowl, a
handicap race from North Haven to Glenelg and return. Other races are
spread throughout the season and include Port Vincent.
