Trailer Sailer Association of SA

About

The aim of the TSASA is to maximise member's use and enjoyment of their trailerable yachts....

We offer an extensive program of on and off water activities that you can enjoy.

  • You can learn more about sailing from the collective wisdom of the membership in an informal and relaxed way.
  • You can increase your knowledge of our waterways both locally and further afield.
  • You will have fun in boats sailing in the company of like minded people.

The success of the TSASA, throughout it's long historycan be attributed to the many opportuniies and options it offers members to enjoy sailing  traileraable yachts to a wide range of locations both within South Australia and further afield across Australia.

MEMBERSHIP is open to anyone interested in trailerable yachting, even if they don't own a yacht themselves.  All classes, makes and models of trailerable yacht are welcome. Many different types are owned by members and anyone considering purchasing a trailer sailer is welcome to contact us for guidance or to arrange to look over some of our members boats at our next on-water function.

The TSASA keeps membership costs to a minimum because unlike many sailing clubs we are not burdened by expensive assets such as club rooms or marinas so we can focus on sailing and socialising.  Our fees are modest and go mainly towards the production of the 'Bilgewater', our monthly newsletter that provides entertainment as well as keeping members informed on current activities and events. An example of the Bilgewater can be downloaded below.

As an association representing not only our own members but also all trailerable yacht owners in South Australia,  the TSASA has representatives appointed to both Yachting SA, a state component of Yachting Australia, the peak national sailing organisation and the Recreational Boating Council, that advise the State Government on matters of boating interest.  Via this representation we are in a position to lobby for upgrades to boating facilities and changes in legislation and regulations.
